Journal Press India®

Editorial

In the present issue of the International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation, emphasis is laid not only on contemporary issues surrounding the global pandemic but contributions are also made towards the ever-growing discourse surrounding business and technological innovations, industrial machinery as well as environmental concerns.

In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, studies such as ‘A review of disease Covid-19 caused by Virus SARS-CoV-2,’ ‘SLM-OJ: Surrogate Learning Mechanism during Outbreak Juncture’ and ‘Epidemiological Covid-19 Outbreak Prediction and Analysis using Machine Learning’ came up.

Business and economics-centric studies such as ‘PoryGON: a value-added models factor for C2C2B’ ‘Identification of the barriers of Reverse Supply Chain’ and ‘Impact of GST on the Memes in Jharkhand in India’ also bring great value to this issue.

A large number of studies spread across this issue are machine heavy and rooted in engineering concepts. This is evident in studies such as ‘Effect of temperature on wear rate and coefficient of friction of Railway Brake Block,’ ‘Design and Fabrication of Rocker-Bogie Suspension for a Planetary Rover Prototype,’ ‘Automatic Metal, Plastic and other Dry Waste Sorter and Status Alert,’ ‘Design and Implementation of Pesticide Spraying Robot using IOT,’ ‘Performance measurement of flexible manufacturing system in context to Bareilly camphor industry,’ ‘Applicability of Boron Carbide reinforced Aluminium 7075 composites for Aircraft Wings and Engines’ and ‘Review on Sheet Metal Formability.’

A biomechanical-biotech theme was also observed in studies such as ‘A new VBH TRINITY mini plate for Mandibular fractures: an in vivo study,’ ‘FPGA – Based Electrocardiography Signal Analysis System using (FIR) Filter’ and ‘A Deep De-noising Neural Network to mitigate noise in Computed Tomography Images.’

Another niche was explored in this issue through image processing, digital image and data transfer-related studies such as ‘A Secure Image Watermarking Method Based on DWT DCT and SVD,’ ‘Simultaneous Image Encryption and Compression using Adaptive Bit Plane Quadtree-based BTC’ and ‘A Dehazing Benchmark with Real Hazy Outdoor Images.’

This issue was also very tech-centric, as exhibited by studies such as ‘Home Automation using Raspberry PI, IoT and ALEXA,’ ‘Multiple Person Detection and Tracking using Convolutional Neural Network,’ ‘Artificial Neural Networks and its Applications: A Review,’ ‘Performance of different full adder structures for optimized design,’ ‘VLSI architecture for zero frequency filter,’ ‘Design of wide band low-profile antenna for 5G applications,’ ‘Low Latency and Efficient LUT Based Multiplier for DSP Applications,’ ‘Design of Broadband Printed Dipole Microstrip Patch Array Antenna,’ ‘A Novel Design of Multiband Plus Shape Slotted Microstrip Patch Antenna for Wireless Applications’ and ‘Weather Monitoring using AWS Cloud Computing.’ The many studies presented did not shy away from displaying the many technological innovations that have been developed in recent years.

In keeping with the rising focus on climate change and the environment, studies such as ‘Smart water management using IOT’ and ‘Study of Trapping and Intermixing of Delhi Drains for Rejuvenation of the River Yamuna’ also found a place in this issue. Additionally, this issue did not shy away from addressing unique agriculture-related subjects such as the ‘Post Harvest Loss Management Scenario of Indian Grain sector: A Review,’ and ‘Classification of Rice Grains using Machine Learning Techniques.’

We hope that the diverse range of subjects covered in this issue act as ‘food for thought’ for our readers and prove to be intellectually stimulating for them. The support of the readers and the contributions of all the authors to the global discourse on the subjects is greatly appreciated.
